Dave:

I have a days ride to dedicate to someone. He happened to be a mountain climber and was going to help me climb Rainer when got better. Unfortunatly he lost his battle. I promised his family that I would honor him on the day that had the most climbing. If you know which day that might be I would love to tell his family. It would be really special for them to know that on that day Niki will be remembered.http://tc-cancer.com/forum/album.php?albumid=15&pictureid=132

Just this past week my girlfriend told me that her friend from High School was in really bad shape, she has cancer. It was strange because I never really saw my girlfriend struggle to hold back her tears. She couldn't even read the little note she had written to her friend - she just skipped to the end where she wrote - Love Tamora. While we were down visiting in Ocean City this past week Tamora kept pointing out places that her and her friends visited when they took trips to Ocean City - ...

South Mountain Cycles Shop Rides

South Mountain Cycles has road rides on every Saturday morning.

They start at 9 (will start at 8:30 after the time change).

Usually go for about 2 hours.

Pace is moderate, but the terrain is often challenging (i.e. perfect PPRAC training).

And they are NO DROP rides. They aren't races and nobody gets left behind.

I am riding PPRAC as a personal challenge and in memory of my father and his brother who both died of Cancer at a young age. Having done other charity rides such as the Livestrong Ride and the MS rides, I was looking for a multiple-day ride that would test my fitness and offer a memorable experience. I positive that PPRAC will do both!

To make this idea a little bigger - what would anyone think about organizing a group PPRAC spin challenge at a local Home Depot or some other large retailer. That would be cool.
